This Sunday, from 4:00-6:00 pm, Cambridge Somerville for Change will hold a phone bank in support of two important initiatives: the Raise Up Massachusetts campaign for a $15 minimum wage and paid family leave, and the Safe Communities Act, which protects immigrants in the state from escalated enforcement efforts of draconian immigration laws by federal officials.
For Raise Up, we'll be reaching out to volunteers and asking them to help collect the signatures needed to get the minimum wage and paid family leave protections on the November ballot. Simultaneously, volunteers can call voters to advocate for key immigrant protections in the Senate version of the state budget.
Bring With You:
Cell phone, charger, and headphones if you prefer.
A laptop or tablet is required for the Safe Community Act calls.
