Cocktail Recipes to Inspire You

Kamala’s Cocktail

Ingredients:

Half stick of unsalted butter
1/4 cup of brown sugar (Swerve is also okay)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cardamom
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Pinch of ground cloves
Pinch of salt
2 oz. Appleton Rum (NON-ALCOHOLIC SUBSTITUTE: apple juice with a drop of Almond Extract)

Instructions:

Boil 1 cup of water.
Place all ingredients, except for rum, in a bowl and mix with a hand mixer or wooden spoon.
Add a tablespoon of the mixture to your mug. Then add the rum.
The water should be boiling at this point. Pour enough water in your mug to fill it almost to the top.

Philly Smash

Ingredients:

6 fresh berries, such as raspberries, blackberries, or blueberries
1/4 ounce simple syrup
1 1/2 ounces rye whiskey, such as Rittenhouse (NON-ALCOHOLIC SUBSTITUTE: water with a drop of Vanilla Extract)
1/2 ounce Averna
1/4 ounce fresh juice from 1 lime
Garnish: additional whole berries

Instructions:

Muddle the berries and simple syrup in the bottom of an Old Fashioned glass. Add rye, Averna, and lime juice. Pack the glass with crushed ice or small ice cubes and stir. Garnish with a few whole berries.
